London Wonderground – London’s home of cabaret, circus, burlesque and alternative comedy – will play host to the world premiere of a brand new show The Raunch this year. Created by cabaret legend Empress Stah, The Raunch is an electric Wild West cabaret circus in which a bombastic, sexy Western story is told through circus, music, burlesque, dance, first class visuals and an awesome soundtrack including an original song by electro-punk pioneer Peaches.

Other acts announced for London Wonderground today include the cult folk-punk-cabaret trailblazersTiger Lillies, interactive anarchy from Miss Behave’s Game Show, impossibly stylish political-comedy-cabaret from Bourgeois & Maurice and the infamous Alternative Eurovision, which makes the real thing look like Jeremy Clarkson’s Birthday Party. They’re joined at Wonderground by East End Cabaret’s deliciously chaotic Club Perverts, notorious Hip-Hop Granny Ida Barr, cuntry legend (no spelling mistake) Tina C, and mixed bill madness from Friday Night Freakshow and Boom Tish.

But, before we get to enjoy all that, the purple cow rolls back onto its pasture this April, and acts joiningUdderbelly Festival today include TV legends and podcast aficionados Angelos & Barry, the world famousSh*t Faced Shakespeare and a sizeable nostalgia trip for the whole family in the form of anarchic science romp Brainiac Live!. They are joined by such comedy heavyweights as Frisky & Mannish, Sean Hughes, The Noise Next Door,Alex Edelman, Mark Dolan, Beta Males, musical maestro Joe Stilgoe, master impressionist Jess Robinsonand Kevin Eldon, Josie Long and Simon Munnery’s Alternative Trio.

Underbelly also provides an amazing range of entertainment for the whole family including Showstoppers’Fantastical Story Factory, musical funnyman Jay Foreman and The Noise Next Door’s Family Show. All of this combines with the usual offering of food, drink, fun and two of the coolest spots in the city to hang out which make Udderbelly and London Wonderground such London institutions.
